As a programmer, you may reach many knowledge in different area, such as math, physics, etc. AI (Artificial Intelligence) is one of the most tropical area which a programmer need to know.

In this spring, Stanford have a online course for everyone in the world for AI – “Introduction to Artificial Intelligence”. If someone is interesting in this area, you can take a look.

A bold experiment in distributed education, “Introduction to Artificial Intelligence” will be offered free and online to students worldwide from October 10th to December 18th 2011. The course will include feedback on progress and a statement of accomplishment. Taught by Sebastian Thrun and Peter Norvig, the curriculum draws from that used in Stanford’s introductory Artificial Intelligence course. The instructors will offer similar materials, assignments, and exams.

Lion and my Wacom tablet

Last week, i catch up with the newest release mac os “Lion”. I am happy with most of the new features. But i have a really annoying problem.

I am using a wacom tablet as my mouse replacement. I found that the scrollbar will auto hide when there is no interaction. The problem is they will no appear again even if i have a “mouse move”. I deal with it to install the driver and install it to another computer. Lastly, i found that, the scroll bar will be hidden if there no a mouse connected.

Now, i just can wait for a new driver or wait for apple fixing it.

iPad App for Practicing Sight Reading

I am still a beginner on piano. Like most of the beginner, Sight Reading is an important part on learning piano. But i am a idiot on it and have a very slow sight reading speed. But today, i find a very useful iPad app for practicing sight reading. It allow me practicing and have fun.  It is called ‘Note Goal Pro‘. It allow you to practicing on different note range, different note type, and scoring your play. If you interesting on it, you can visit their website.

Today is the day for ipad 2. I am excited. But i am not excited by the ipad 2. I am excited for the new GarageBand for ipad. As i love to play music and try many music app in the app store. Some good and some bad. GarageBand for ipad is definitely a awesome app. It bring all the good things from the mac GarageBand to the ipad. You can now have a mobile studio, mobile sound module, mobile guitar app/effecter on the go with you.
